It's been pretty quiet around here lately.  It seemed time to update everyone one the latest with The Glory Hole.

I recently published our custom-written Jukebox program to the modding community.  While on one hand this makes what we have a bit less special and unique, I felt in debt to the community, who helped me all along by supporting my questions and providing reading resources which I depended on.  It will also improve the quality of the product, since it is actively being tested on several servers instead of just one.  The latest build is up on Jukebox and so far seems to be more stable than it used to be.

We have also finally implemented our long-promised Back Door reserved slot feature.  For now, all admins will have access via the reserved slots.  Should the server ever become popular again (*ahem CHEESUS?!?!?) then we will invite donators and content contributors to have access via the reserved slots as well.  Understand that our implementation does not kick other players from the server to make space.  There are two extra reserved slots beyond the 24 public slots, and if they fill up, then one must wait for someone to voluntarilty leave, which will free up one of the reserved slots again.

When all the public slots are full (with 24 or 25 people connected) then you have to connect using the following console command:

connect gloryhole.nuclearfallout.net

With our most complicated custom feature nearly finished and the SourceModding learning curve out of the way, I hope to be able to provide special features more rapidly as we move ahead.
